Our wedding back in 2004 was a BLAST (as you can see from our never-ending grins in the pictures above). We were married on the theater stage where we met in college, our officiant was the professor who introduced us, and we had an intimate gathering of 50 of our closest friends and family. During the evening, our guests performed poetry, songs, and hula dedicated just to us. It was probably the most perfect evening we could imagine.
Music is one of the most important aspects of our lives, and was literally what brought us together as life, and business, partners. Not only do we know intimately what it takes to make it from "Yes, I'll marry you!" to "I Do!" but we have many years experience as working musicians, performing for people of all ages with all types of musical preferences. We sincerely want to make the music at your wedding or event a memorable experience and a special backdrop to your most perfect moments.
Mango Season performs as small and intimate as a duo all the way up to a five-piece band with a mixture of jazz saxophone, drums, bass or electric guitar. We consider our style to be "Island Soul Jazz" and perform mostly vintage '70's influenced pop, Hawaiian/island, soul, funk, and jazz.
On average, we perform one wedding and/or event every weekend of the year. We frequently perform for special events, conventions, and presentations, and have performed for companies such as Expedia.com, Punahou School, Wizards of the Coast, Legal Aide Society of Hawaii, YWCA of Hawaii, Mobi PCS, Hawaii State Art Museum, Group 70, and Habitat for Humanity.
